Summaries

Story 1:

The car community is growing in Las Vegas and at UNLV. Across the city, car meets and popups happen all days of the the week, bringing all shapes, sounds, and motor-sizes to different corners of town. At UNLV, a two year old car club gathers college car enthusiasts and hosts events of their own. Throughout this fall semester, the UNLV Car Club has car events planned to further build their community at UNLV and with other drivers in the larger Las Vegas community. This feature focuses on their collaboration with other clubs, the club’s main mission, and growth since being founded in 2021, overall providing a larger picture.

Story 2:

UNLV’s Car Club integrates all types of car culture and serves to allow newcomers and long-time car enthusiasts to experience the culture. This feature presents the onboarding process of joining the club and a scoop into what the newbie experience is like. Since they are further established now, more so than last year, this semester brings in new prospects and new opportunity. This story showcases the newcomer experience within the club and communal experience at car events/cruises, overall providing a smaller picture.
